ABOUT ISUZU CARS/TRUCK DEALER SCAN TOOLS

Izusu passenger vehicles like the Trooper 2 and Rodeo from 1996-2006 are diagnosed by the Tech 2 handheld scan tool. This is the same scan tool as is used also for GM, Saab, Saturn and Suzuki.

The Tech 2 scan tool simply uses different software loaded onto its memory card, which is removable and switchable. Five different vehicle production lines using the same base scan tool for factory diagnosis is unheard of in the industry.

We are lucky it is so versatile. Extra memory cards, which cost an average of $450.00, allow us to expand our diagnostic capabilities really cheaply. Please look under the GM page for more info about this great scan tool.

For complete dealer-level diagnostic coverage from 1996 to 2004 and including overlapping 2005 to 2009 coverage is the Tech 2 scan tool, the same scan tool as is used also for GM, Saab, Saturn and Suzuki. The Tech 2 handheld scan tool provides dealer level diagnostics from 1996 to 2009. The CAN communication systems on 2007-2009 requires a CAN converter which installs inline between the Tech 2 and the vehicle data link.

The newest scan tool for Izusu medium duty trucks from 2005 and up is the IDSS system. It is a laptop-based system using the Nexiq USBLink interface. IDSS is capable of reflashing powertrain computers included in the program on the laptop. If you work on 2005 to current Izusu trucks, this system is a requirement. I package it with the software preloaded on a refurbished Panasonic Toughbook CF-29.

The USBLink interface is new and genuine Nexiq. I don't sell any Chinese copies.
